This 1885 Liberty Nickel is a spectacular example of an early key date from the Liberty Nickel series. With a total original mintage of only 3790 pcs it is not surprising that it is very scarce in this lofty grade. PCGS has graded only 6 coins in this quality with only 3 higher. The coin exhibits beautiful surfaces with soft pastel colors of violet and Gold. What an outstanding example. When you are looking for the best it will be hard to improve upon this coin!!
